Alexis Georgopoulos is a multi-disciplinary artist, composer, and producer based in New York. Nomadic in style and evolving in ethos, his expanding oeuvre is a statement of multiplicity. A background in ethnomusicology, with an emphasis on non-Western folk traditions and avant-garde electronic music, has formed the basis from which much of his diverse work stems. His work has been released by RVNG Intl, Smalltown Supersound, Mexican Summer, Type, Beats in Space, Emotional Rescue, and Opal Tapes.

Dedicated to building relationships between music, dance, visual art, theater, and film, he has collaborated with key figures from a range of disciplines – visual artists Tauba Auerbach and Darren Bader, the late filmmaker Paul Clipson, and choreographer Jonah Bokaer, as well as musicians Neneh Cherry, techno producer Patricia, and modular synth experimentalist Jefre Cantu-Ledesma. His work has been presented in gallery exhibitions, museums, cinemas, and stages internationally, including MoMA PS1, BAM, White Columns, The Kitchen, Deitch Projects, Walker Art Center, MoMA, New Museum, and The Glass House.
